Consultation Round on Mobile Governance Policy Framework with External Stakeholders on 12-July-2011, 3-5PM

Driven by the vision of providing public services to all the residents in the country, especially in the rural areas by utilizing the reach of mobile phones and the innovative potential of mobile applications, Department of Information Technology (DIT), Government of India, has taken up the initiative of formulating a comprehensive policy on Mobile Governance to make Government services available to the residents of the country through mobile devices.

In this regard, a Draft Consultation Paper on Mobile Governance Policy Framework was prepared by the National e-Governance Division(NeGD) within DIT, and made available online for feedback and comments from stakeholders across Government Departments, Industry, and Civil Society / Citizens.

A consultation round with all interested external stakeholders is now being organized on Tuesday, 12-July-2011, 3:00 - 5:00 PM at Department of Information Technology Conference Room No. 1007, 1st Floor, Electronics Niketan, 6 CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi - 3.
