Innovation Promotion Projects
A few Projects supported in IPR related areas are summarized below:
Development of Web Based Patent Analysis & Management System at CDAC, Pune
The Objectives of the project are to develop web based Patent Analysis and Management System; integrate technologies developed by IPR Division in this portal; develop methodologies for prior art search, analysis and IPR management; provide DIT with patent analysis reports on emerging areas of ICT technologies; conduct of Workshops / seminars for IPR awareness and training. Web portal containing comprehensive information for ICT IPR domain has been developed. The portal contains services with regard to patent analysis, management and has integrated tools with regard to plagiarism detection and IPR management. Work on developing a semi automated tool for patent analysis is in progress.
Developing Framework for Construction of Ontology on TDKL at MNNIT, Allahabad
The objective is to develop an open source based framework consisting of a semi-automatic Traditional Knowledge acquisition and Machine learning system for construction of an ontology for design and implementation of Taditional Knowledge Digital Library (TDKL) and Traditional Knowledge Resource classification under IPC Scheme for tribal Medicinal system. Also, to keep track of patents granted in the said field to avoid patents on Traditional Indian Medicinal Knowledge. Ontology based semantic web based tool to analyze image and text based for Santhal traditional medicinal system database is also being developed.
Developing Educational Content and Associated Depository of Web Services for IPR at MNNIT, Allahabad
The objective is to develop an open source based digital content to facilitate teaching and learning process in Intellectual Property Rights designed specifically for scientists, technologists, engineers and academicians. The project has been recently initiated and the project team is in process of setting up infrastructure and manpower.
Developing Plagiarism Detection Engine for Detecting Source Code Plagiarism at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham
The objective is to extend DVIAT (Plagiarism detection engine developed at Amrita University) to detect source-code plagiarism. The project has been recently initiated and the project team is in process of setting up infrastructure and manpower.
Establishing Patent Search Centre at CDAC, Pune
The objective is to develop expertise and facilitate inventors in ICT sector thus compliment the initiatives of Patent and IPR Division in increasing Indian ICT patent portfolios. The project has been recently initiated and the project team is in process of setting up infrastructure and manpower.
